چکیده

Laboratory experiments were conducted to study the Total Haemocytes Count (T.H.C) of Chrysocoris purpureus., during metamorphosis and reproduction .The quantitative analysis of haemocytes have shown that the total number of haemocytes increase continuously throughout the past the embryonic development stages (from the third nympal instars to adult) reach a peak level in the adult stage, this is increasing number in T,H.C is correlated with an increasing demand for nutrient supply, cellular defense and production of immunologic factor. The total number of haemocytes of the adult female (6660±440 cells/cu.mm ) is higher than that of the 3 adult male (4420±165 cells/cu.mm ). This higher haemocytes concentration seems to be associated with the 3 reproductive function of female insects.

Predicting Habitat Distribution of Five Heteropteran Pest Species in Iran

In agroecosystems, potential species distribution models are extensively applied in pest management strategies, revealing species ecological requirements and demonstrating relationships between species distribution and predictive variables. The Maximum Entropy model was used to predict the potential distribution of five heteropteran key pests in Iran, namely Adelphocoris lineolatus (Goeze) (Hem...

Qualitative and quantitative changes observed in the free alpha-amino nitrogen fraction of Tenebrio molitor pupal tissues during metamorphosis.

An outstanding feature of the biochemistry of insects is the fact that a very high concentration of free amino acids has been found in the haemolymph of every insect so far investigated. (See Florkin, 1949; Buck, 1953.) This represents about twothirds of the total free amino acids in the insect, and concentrations of from 20 to 100 times that of the total free a-amino nitrogen content of mammal...

Type specimens of Heteroptera (Insecta: Hemiptera) collected from North Korea and adjacent regions deposited at Insect Collections of Chungnam National University (CNU) in Daejeon, Republic of Korea.

A list of type specimens of Heteroptera (Insecta: Hemiptera) collected from North Korea (mostly by the late Dr. Michail Josifov, Sofia, Bulgaria) acquired earlier by E. Heiss, now donated to and deposited in the insect collections of Chungnam National University (CNU), Deajeon, Korea, is presented. A total of 31 holotypes and 694 paratypes of 41 species and 1 subspecies in 6 families and 9 subf...
